Judging Process

 

Three Awards will be presented this year.  

  • PATA New Zealand Trust Young Tourism Leader
  • Crowe Horwath International Sir Jack Newman
  • ServiceIQ Visitor Experience

PATA New Zealand Trust Young Tourism Leader Award

Enteries are by nomination - download the application form. 2014 entrants will be judged by PATA trustees and a TIA judging panel against the criteria outlined and awarded at the judges discretion. The judges will consider the entrant’s service to the tourism industry, their commitment to the development of tourism and their vision of future tourism in New Zealand.

Entries close 10 October 2014.

Finalists will be announced in mid-October and the winner will be announced at the Wellington Airport Summit Dinner on 4 November 2014.

 

 Crowe Horwath International Sir Jack Newman Award

Entries are by nomination and awarded at the judges’ discretion. Download the nomination form.

Judges may select people other than those nominated.

The judges will consider the nominee’s service to the tourism industry, their commitment to the development of tourism and their vision of future tourism in New Zealand.

We are delighted to introduce this new award for 2014. This year the judges will select a winning business.

The criteria they will consider includes a business (or group of businesses) that:

  • Demonstrates they are driving value through outstanding visitor experience
  • Strives to delivers a consistently excellent visitor experience – a world class visitor experience
  • Has a structured programme in place to develop staff and grow their skills
  • Is sustainable, in particularly economically – understands the economic value chain for their business through creating an outstanding visitor experience
  • Demonstrates they consistently put themselves in the visitors’ shoes
  • Measures visitor satisfaction and dissatisfaction and takes action as a result of feedback to improve the visitor experience
  • Ensures visitors are well informed and equipped in order to extract the maximum enjoyment out of their visit
  • Demonstrable steps to improve the end-to-end visitor experience
     

 The winner will be announced at the Wellington Airport Summit Dinner on 4 November.
